We had a GREAT time, except the kids were so wild on the way back I felt absolutely battered. The fam hist was cool---and we found out from dh's grandmother (who has researched her whole family) that dh's whole family is related more than once! His FATHER, his SISTER, and OUR KIDS are both 6th cousins once/twice removed as WELL as his father, sister, and kids! Isn't that the weirdest thing? His g'ma said that her grandparents--or great gparents--were 5th cousins or something so that makes the whole thing twist around. But is that strange or what? (Of course, thankfully, I'm only "wife"--tee hee hee.) But our kids are his COUSINS! Whew.
