Hey Buckeyes! Did you have a good trip? You've obviously been thinking (with all of the questions!) :)
Have you read the book? In case you haven't, here's a link to the online version.

>>1. Must it be 10
oz of water? Is that concentration something "special"? I THOUGHT I understood that you can drink plenty of water...so do I need the 10
oz for some reason and should wait a while afterward before drinking any water? Or can you put more water to begin with?
A. It's actually 8
ounces (page 10 in the book). There was someone who did the
Master-Cleanse not long ago who doubled the water to make sure she also got her water requirement in. She didn't suffer any ill effects, but I would imagine it would make a weaker cocktail.
>>2. Trbls7 shared I can have some peppermint tea occ'ly. I didn't think to ask what that means! Does that mean one cup (ie 6 or 8 oz) once a day? Or more often (for variation). (Are you checking in? Love to "talk" with you again!)
A. Page 12 in the book. It says you can have tea occasionally, so you'll have to interpret that one for yourself. To me, it meant once a day! :)
>>3. Is peppermint tea (and water) the ONLY other thing one can drink during the MC?
A. These are all the book suggests. I did have some other herbal teas during my second MC, and others use different herbals as well. Just make sure they are decaffienated!! :)
>>4. HOW HOW HOW does one measure 1/10 of a teaspoon?? :-( (I've a good powdered cayenne from the health store.)
A. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were such a measuring spoon?? The best way to add the cayenne is to start out with a small pinch on the first day. Work your way up to 1/8 tsp. or more if you can handle it. I was using 1/4 tsp. per day during my last cleanse.
>>5. Can one put stevia in it, or just more syrup if desired?
A. I remember reading on the forum one of the experienced MC'ers stating that you should stick with one kind of sweetner and not switch...although for the life of me, I can't remember why. You can add more syrup if you want.
>>6. Can you do a
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) one morning, and tea the next? Alternate all through?
A. Yes. As long as you are doing one or the other in the morning, that is sufficient.
>>7. Does it do any good to have lemonade for just one day? Or one every once in a while? I'm doing a one day a week juice fast, and just wondered if doing lemonade instead of other juice would do any good at all? Or does one help with anything? Or is it the long concentration that really does a body good?
A. Yes!! Do a one day lemonade fast if you want! I do them at least every other week! Mostly I find myself wanting to do them on Mondays after weekends where I've indulged in family picnic foods. This puts my mind back into perspective of my goal for better health...and after this weekend, I'm going to need something!!
Good to hear from you!!
