Re: 400 parasite eggs found in 1 gram of human stool sample

I dewormed the cat with praziquantel 10mg per kilogram bodyweight, 3 days, then 14 days later and once a month after that, for 1 day and 1 day 14 days later to kill any new hatches that were missed.
Ask a vet or order from vet supply online they have directions on dosage.
I keep our cat on an enclosed sun porch with plenty of wheatgrass for it, it is a very happy cat, it likes to study birds, sleep, sun bathe and stalk and chase the occasionaly ant or spider that comes along.

Animals get worms from eating offal, infected remains of other animals, and licking the eggs of infected fecal matter. I do not believe humans are meant to live under roof with outdoor running animals, that's just my opinion.

An outdoor cat or dog is nice exclusively as an outdooe pet. I would keep an outdoor pet outdoors and an indoor pet indoors to reduce reinfection risk. Thats why minatures, 5 pound teeny tiny dogs are popular and for sale now, they are kept as indoor pets.
