I don't say much about animal health/foods. Cats like meat/blood/brains/guts or aka whole animals aka the mouse and insects.

The dog? In the wild, they too will live on the mouse.

Dogs will also eat fruits, grass, etc. Cats will eat a varity of things, but both dog and cat are THIN CREATURES, lean mean fighting machines and never the fat plump creatures we have as pets. The thin pet on more natural food will live longer I believe.

I do supply my Dog a large rock of Natural Salt from Utha, she licks it and makes sure she gets the minerals she may be lacking, other than this, she gets the cheapest food and she will eat fruit, grass, mice, etc.

Cats can take care of them selves and really don't need food if they have plenty of land around to hunt in.

So you now see why I am not much help on pet foods/care. I believe in fasting a pet and using herbs just as I would for myself.
