Re: Apparently only olive oil works for me...
I do find it very frustrating when one decides to experiment and when results change there is no evidence to say that why. Consequently one doesn't know if it is the change to the protocol or some other unknown, factor X that was responsible. I am sure that when the flushing pioneers like Drs Clark and Kelly did there research it was with a statically representative group.
My own statically limited analysis indicates that something special happens about every 50 days, irrespective of the number of flushes but that isn't a very helpful "fact" just a talking point.
One of the most important constituents of the oil is in mono-unsaturated Oleic fatty acid because this is the most common component of human fat (46%) as is digested by direct absorption through the intestinal wall. Olive oil (76%), macadamia nut oil (60%), peanut oil (47%) and avocado oil (70%) are all high is this oil. (So is canola but it’s a taboo product). This doesn't infer that other oils aren’t' suitable because factors such as, personal taste, quality,
preservatives , have to be taken into account.
