Singapore is a completely modern, progressive Asian city. In many ways, it's just like America. They dress like us, speak English, watch our movies and TV, eat our food, etc. In the public bathrooms they typically have several thrones and at least one if not several squatties. They also have amazingly clean public bathrooms, with public campaigns for clean bathrooms. Homes usually have at least one throne. So it depends on the individual but squatties are definitely in use even though they are thoroughly modern and civilized!
