How comes you can't find De-Wormer in the average store shelf?
Dear MH, When I was a little child- I felt I had pinworms but my parents didnt take me seriously, so I secretly bought some De-Wormer capsules at our local drugstore. This was back in the early 70's. I took them, my stools turned purple, and i got bad rashes- not knowing that it was probably die-off. I saw worms in my stools then-- and told my mother, who still refused to take me seriously, and began to worry that I was going mad. I had the itchy anus and knew from reading their medicine encyclopedia that it could be pin worms.
They refused to take me to a doctor, so I just went into denial that everything must now be okay. All my life i've had bad allergies, hayfever, painful periods, etc. Probably was living with parasites and never knew it to this day.
Now that I am much older -- have finally come out of denial this year--to discover I have liver flukes after some colon cleanses-- and who knows what other worm probably, I cant find any anti-wormer capsule on any store shelf whatsoever.
Im talking every single drugstore chain-- including the General Nutrition and Vitamin World chains.
I was lucky to actually find Probiotic capsules at this pharmacy I started going to. and lucky to find some Oil of Oregano at Vitamin World.
Just curious as two why noone in the mainstream marketing will stock any type of anti-parasite stuff. Im lucky if I find any anti-lice stuff in the drugstores!
Not that the stuff they would sell would be safe or work effectively anyway, but it just astounds me that our society doesnt address parasites anymore.--- as though they have been thoroughly eradicated. Or else the stores are afraid to hurt thier marketing image by stocking something that puts yucky "images' in shoppers heads (?) You know how image conscioius they all are now.
it's a shame. :-(
