Re: Follow a strict diet to clear up acne, they say...But is that good if a person is still in puberty?
Hi Orlando,
I am encouraged that you, at such a young age, are considering your health and diet so carefully -- I wish I had started younger.
I would suggest that focusing on the reduction or removal of "carbs" is not really the issue. There are many carbs, for instance, that are good for you. (Fruit and many veggies contain carbs.)
In my opinion -- and personal experience -- the removal of dairy products have the greatest impact for acne sufferers. Secondly, the removal or drastic reduction of processed foods (including, especially, breads and pastas) should help a great deal.
The time frame for improvement depends upon a great many things including; toxicity, energy levels, sleep, stress and other dietary stresses. In my own case, making these changes showed dramatic improvement in only a few weeks...
Best regards,
Eric Edmeades
