Re: Is it really a choice afterall?

Hands don't make you a person. Killing someone with those hands can even take your right to live away if you get caught.

Believe it or not, but in many cultures before, and still in a few now, children aren't considred people even when they're born. In some societies you're not considered a person until you learn to walk, in others until you learn to speak. It may seem horrible to us, but as long as the responsibility of raising someone will rest almost entirely on you, you should be able to choose whether to make that committment. If you are a 10 year old accident, you may say "I'm glad my mom didn't abort me. Then I wouldn't be alive." But if you're a soul with full adult reasoning in the process of choosing your next parents, and you find out that you might be born to a 14 year old 7th grader and your father will skip town forever, you may ask god to please try to look for different parents.
