Re: Is it really a choice afterall?

I agree with the fact that most of the time it's not really a choice at all. I don't know anyone that loves to get abortions.

Actually, being selfish is a trait we're all born with. Read a book called "The Selfish Gene." Technically, killing is just a way to survive, and survival is what we owe to our creator. That's why suicide was made a sin - society can't work if too many of its members don't go through the motions of work. Thankfully, we've developed a rich enough society where we no longer have to kill the neighbors to get enough to eat. We don't even have to kill Native Americans anymore to get enough resources for our economy (there's plenty of people abroad we can kill for that). Selfishness is also the foundation of capitalism. That is why we can have billionaires as well as homeless people, and officially it's nobody's fault but your own. Socialist countries have much less of each and usually have a poorer middle class as well, but there're a lot more social programs for single parents or families with many children. Interestingly, abortions are very, very legal and available, but there're also a lot less abortions. America is the leader in both teen pregnancies and abortions, and I really don't think that people that are forced to get an abortion to have a chance at finishing high school are to blame.
