If you ever said one thing that was actually true I think I'd just faint.

I've already gone round and round with you in the Politics Forum about this. Slavery has been a part of nearly every country's history. France, Russia, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, England, the U.S -- and many many more. It's been an institution that's spanned for thousands of years, which has only come to an end in the past couple hundred. Christians, indeed owned slaves here in the U.S....but so did non-Christians. Christians themselves have been enslaved throughout history. To say that the Bible promotes slavery is idiotic. It was mostly Christians who helped bring an end to slavery, infact.
