You miss the point entirely. What we call Christmas, which falls on December 25th, was ALREADY a pagan holiday long before Jesus ever came along. The early Christians decided to use December 25th as Jesus' birthday, since it was already the date of a popular pagan holiday, in order to coerce more people into becoming Christians: "Hey, you're already celebrating the feast of Saturn. When you join us, you can continue your drunken debauchery, only now it will be in celebration of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ." Nobody knows when Jesus was born, although all the biblical references seem to indicate that it was not in the middle of winter. The early church leaders just picked a day that was already handy. Happens all the time with new religions. They try to legitimize their faith by latching on to holidays, myths and traditions from other religions and cultures.
