irregular period

About a month and a half ago I went back on the birthcontrol pill. My first period was normal, but 2 weeks later (Aug 29) I started bleeding again, more like spotting, and I still am. I remember being on the pill previously and for the first few months I would spot until my body got used to the hormones, but I never went a whole week. The color is off too, it's either a real dark red almost black in color or a dark brown. Normally I would just go see the doctor, but unfortunetly I don't have any health insurance at this time. If I went to a clinic that makes you pay by your income, I'm afraid that if I do have a problem then when I do get insurance I will have a pre-existing condition and it won't be covered. Anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this problem? I should have my regular period starting next Sunday. I was thinking about waiting to see it the bleeding stops after that period. Any comments?
