Re: Quick Poll

I am pro-choice. I don't think I could ever have an abortion.

I was faced with the decision and chose to have the child and raise it on my own. I never got any support from the father.

I also would not give a child up for adoption, unless I knew in my heart I could not care for it. Even then I might not be able to give it up. I believe in taking responsibility for my actions.

In my case I felt it was destiny that I got pregnant when I did. Had I gotten an abortion I know I would have felt terrible guilt and remorse. Regret? I don't know. I think that one should have the child and not abort unless it is an extreme case that would harm the mother or the child. This scenario could include incest and rape where carrying the child could cause psychological damage to the mother. Even then, for me, I would most likely carry it regardless of the outcome.

But I don't feel I have the right to make someone else do what I would do. I'm not that arrogant to think that my beliefs should be forced on another.
