Re: Social Security Payors.

while i applaud that you have very strong convictions, alas, I must disagree with you to a point. What would you have your sister or even yourself do if you found yourself in the following situation: a random woman learns she is pregnant after she has lost her boyfriend/husband. she was fortunate enough to have been blessed with a child 6 years ago. by being blessed I mean doctors had to use heroic measures to save her life when she had her child. her ob-gyn has informed her this pregnancy will undoubtably go the same way. do you tell her she is wrong for not wanting to run the risk of having her 6 year old having no parents at all or do you tell her no matter what, at all costs she should have the baby? i must tell you i know such a woman. i'm not saying your views are wrong. but i think there are certain instances where we should consider other factors. life cannot always be about right or wrong. we should also include patience, understanding, compassion, and tolerence. i wish i could say i could pass judgement on people with little concern to them but i cannot. i do believe it should not be used in some instances but there is, at present, no way to determine who is should be eligible and who shouldn't. what do you propose that we do with all the unwanted children? have their mother abandon them? hope that the 15 year old mothers grow up (if they are young)and learn their lesson at the expense of a beautiful child? pray that the girl who was molested by a close family member doesn't kill herself or that the baby doesn't have extreme problems physically or mentally? or i think worst of all: the child is born and is told all their life that they were not wanted, they were 'in the way' of the mother achieving something, that if she could have she would have aborted that child. can you imagine growing up like that? that's not what i want people to be able to do.
again, im not saying you're wrong. i applaud you for believing in something than nothing at all.
