Re: new to fasting, already failed

i suggest you clean up your diet and intake FIRST.

do that for at least 6 months. it will make the fasting a lot easier.
you do detox slowly and naturally through a clean diet on its own.

step one:
ditch the smokes

step two:
avoid all things that are processed. this means breads from refined flours, Sugar (fruit and unrefined sweeteners like REAL maple syrup are ok), processed meats like sausages, lunchmeats, sodas, juices with added sugar, fake sugars.

you can eat real pieces of meat. organic is best. a meatless diet is even cleaner but you should make transitions slowly so you stick to them

veggies - again organic is best but any veggies is better than none.

fruit - ''

water - drink half your weight in ounces per day.

vitamins - take a multi (a must)

step three: fasting to cleanse

it will feel very hard at first. but ride it out on that clean diet until you get over the misery. you will hit this natural high that makes you feel like a little kid again. it will give you a very good reason to be healthy for life. everyone likes feeling good. before you may have used drugs and comfort foods for that. but the end of that road ends with poor health and crazy cravings instead of health and personal satisfaction.
