well you have to change what you eat post cleanse or fast.
if you eat like what you were that made you gain your are most likely to gain even more post fast until your metabolism wakes back up.
i found that only doing 4 day cleanse/fasts detoxed me and healed me and brought me down to 143-145 without putting too big a dent in my metab.
but then doing low carb and no processed foods i got down to 140.
i now am doing my 10 pound flux 140 -150. i always do that.
BUT
the thing i have also noticed is if i pay attention to diet post fast i am more effective at burning fat and losing weight than i was pre-fast. i actually thought i was just going to get fatter and fatter like some other women in my family. but thanks to fasting i think my cleaner body can stay at its thin/healthy weight more easily.

2002 ? (no scale)
2003 -175 (see what happens with no scale? hee hee)
2004 -165
2005 - 155 start -143 post mc -fluxing
lowest weight 140
i also went up 2 cups....so that was the good thing about getting fat. i now have boobs! haa haa and they stayed. thank god they didnt melt and sag away.
