mirena iud

I am having a Mirena IUD inserted in two days and I am quite nervous about it. I am mostly bothered my the thought of having something in me that I can't take out, if that makes any sense. I have been on the Pill, but can no longer take it because of blood pressure. Has anyone else felt apprehensive about an IUD? Any positive stories about insertion and how you felt after? Am I neurotic to be so nervous? Thank you! Tweet
