Just starting out and taking it slowly. So far I made the decision to cut red meat out of my diet, concentrating on Fish, Chicken and trying to incorporate a range of vegies. Red meat hasn't been hard to cut out but I still have to cook it for my family, my husband thinks my decision is "stupid". I'm not looking to becoming a full 'vego' yet but do want to eat vegetarian for most of the week. I also want to cut out dairy foods and need to find an alternative to them.
I've only been eating this way less than 2 weeks and have noticed only one side effect, a really good one. After doing nothing but put on weight, I've lost about 3 kilos and am constantly in ketosis - I can taste it, my mouth is really yuck. Even on days when I indulge - for instance on one day I had deep fried fish and chips, rounded off with Apple and cinnamon pancakes, that evening I was still in ketosis. I don't even deny myself the odd piece of chocolate and I am still losing.
