Re: Curry?
Sorry I "hijack" this tread... BTW is there anyway I could send a PM (private message) instead of side-tracking??
Oh Squeaky Clean - I totally agree with you... okie in regards to food and racial thingy. We are living in a small world and globalisation in the word .. yet people don't see thing that way. Many times my very fair Indonesian friend (who's Chinese can't but utter a word of Chinese) are mistaken as Japanese by taxi drivers! :D
I'm a typical Singaporean living in Singapore. But I do lived in China, Beijing and Taiwan for few years for job posting ... and yes I have very interesting experiences there. As I don't speak the Taiwanese version of Mandrain, I got verbally abused my some people there as being a "Mainlander" and snatch things outta my hands... gosh - and we are all Chinese. And in China, again carrying my funny accents, I got ripped off many times when I went shopping :(
Same goes when I was in America with my hubby ... funny treatment sometimes ;)
The Whites are a more "fortunate" group in a way as they often got very good service wherever they goes! :)
Back to food - I'm a real foodie and yes I enjoyed Roti Prata and all sort of yummy stuff, but now I'm into healthier choice... Cheers!!
