I just googled: solar cooker rice...and guess what? Rice AND beans can be cooked with solar cookers! Yeah it takes time but you know this might be the ticket for me.

Nothing gets burned and I don't have to stand over a stove watching anything... The link above is to the google search that I did and there are many in the list the mention not only rice BUT BEANS as well. Good luck!

Surely sunlight and your own glass container is going to be pretty non-toxic! And just like crockpot or a rice cooker that you plug in and walk away from solar cookers don't need much attention either. :) Tweet
