Re: Convince the dentist to do what I/you want
Hi bahir, How are things going with your plans on mercury filling removal?
I hope to get my 4 removed also. Mine were put in over 30 years ago.
Some dentists will remove them because they plain hate them.. The dentist my frind goes to loves to remove them because he feels they fracture the tooth in time- He will remove and replace the filling as long as you state that your tooth "is bothering you" or causeng Pain.
My friend had all 4 fillings replaced in a 2 year clip. I think that's the route I'm going to go-- get two done at a time ,because that's all my insurance will pay a portion for each year -as they consider it "restorative cosmetic surgery", and also they say that getting them removed all at once can land you in the hospital with major mercury poisoning.
I read to get some Activated charcoal and vitamin C supplements before and after the removal of each filling.
Ask the dentist to use a rubber Dam and an oxygen mask . Tell him you'll pay a little extra if its an inconvenience for him.
