question for eczema experts

I have a four month old son who recently started showing signs of eczema. I have been around curezone awhile and am very familiar with alternative medicine. i used to suffer myself from this type of condition, but am now largely problem free as a result of diet and cleansing. I personally don't see eczema as a disease, but rather just a reaction to toxin(s) being eliminated through the skin. that being said, eczema in a baby presents certain problems in that cleansing is off the table. So any advice would be much appreciated.

my wife has been largely breatfeeding, but she felt compelled to supplement with a home-made rice flour forumla she makes from rice flour, water with a touch of sourghum molassus. Since it seemed hard for him to digest, my guess was that this rice formula may be the problem, so starting yesterday he stopped it.

His face is a real mess, though most of the body seems ok for now. My wife uses disposable diapers, but I suspect these are probably full of allergens, any thoughts?

My wife's diet is pretty good, mostly a whole foods diet with occaissonal lapses.

I would be grateful for any input.
