All kinds of Legumes give you protein, as well as veggies. Was raised a vegetarian and married a guy that ate meat, so switched. Both of us switched back. Don't have a single worry about not getting the 40 gm protein required to be healthy. We get that at breakfast. You can find lots of recipes on the internet, most tell you the nutritional breakdown.
