Re: Visit to a slaughterhouse
>>>For the record, a steer doesn't give a rats ass about the smell of blood. That's why naive city-folk shouldn't be allowed to visit slaughterhouses, they tend to take a Disneyesque, almost comically anthropomorhic view on the proceedings.<<<
This just doesn't make sense. If a steer doesn't give a rat's ass (I love the way you use the English language...so poetic!) about blood, how does that relate to the visits of "naive city folk" to slaughterhouse? Do you even read the anti-AR rhetoric you spout before you send it off? I know that anti-AR is a religion to many people, and therefore beyond reason, but please -at least try to make a modicum of sense.
And, I've heard that "naive city folk" argument by many anti-AR's- apparently to be accused of living in a big city is a huge insult in the anti-AR community. And of course, all AR's are by definition city folk. Never mind that this claim has no basis in reality - if an anti-AR says it, well, than to the rest of the anti-AR community, it *must* be true.
I'd like to know your credentials for slaughterhouses, "PecosBillier" - here are mine:
I grew up in Fremont, Nebraska - home of a Hormel meat processing plant. My father worked there for over 25 years as a bacon slicer. I am well aware of what goes on in slaughterhouses for both the animals and the employees.
Your turn, love! :)
