do not do not do not drink the vodka after a few days of fasting. Start the fast when you know you wont be pressured by your friends to drink...Wait til after you party..I once ended a three day juice fast with a tuna sandwich and felt like i was going to have to call 911.I could only imagine what vodka would do.As far as the veggies..it is recommended..if not ive heard you should use an enima for the first few days.
A few Recommendations:
1.dont start your fast today. Stick to this forum and go to the first page of post..read everyone of them and you will learn so much..i think if you educated yourself on the Water Fast you would gain info. that will make your fast easier on your body and mind, as well as optimizing your detox/weight loss benefits.The knowledge that you gain will far exceed the few pounds you may lose from here till sunday cause you know once you get drunk thats it..you wont be able to refuse food once you got a nice buzz and the late night pizza call is too hard to pass up..i know im in college
2. if it is hard for you to stick to an all raw food diet before the fast(which is the best) you are going to have to try and incorporate as many raw foods as you can..force them in your mouth if you have to..you will lose more weight if you properly prepare and break the fast..also it is said that the last thing you eat will be what you crave the most..its true(for me at least) if the last thing you ate was a nice ripe orange..hmmmm..than that is what you will crave thus what you will break with..if you are serious about this and you are using the fast to knock your body back into shape so you can start eating right than number 3 is essential.
3. Breaking the fast..breakfast..breaking the fast:)it always good to just drink some juice..apple is good.. if thats ok than grab some delicious ripe fruit..it doesnt sound good but once you have been fasting its like...i dont know it is just really great..if you break your fast first thing in the morning than by dinner it might be safe to have some beans of brown rice or just stick with some veggies..
4. Maintain a healthy Diet after the fast.During the fast you will look at yourself in the mirror and start thinking "wow i look great" than after the fast and your back to binge eating and you gain it all back youll say "i guess its time for another fast". This is when fasting becomes a yo-yo diet..Fasting is one of the greatest tools for detox and weightloss is used properly.
5. Im not a doctor so use what i have said as just some beginning info on your road to getting healthy. I know what you are going through..In highshcool i was 5'8 and 210 with 25% body fat..Im now 6'0 205 and pretty solid( actually im around 192 now cause im on day 5 of my fast but i plan on gaining it back..im fasting for detox)The greatest feeling is when you make the real committment to change your life and change your ways. You just have to say enough is enough and since you came here i would assume your around that point.Start eating healthy..Start going to the gym at regular times.Make a lifestyle change..its hard at first but if you stick with it your efforts will show themselves 10 fold.
