Re: calories on a juice fast
Heh, lots!
1. Don't watch tv, nor commercials. dvd or vhs movies are ok.
2. Tell almost noone about your fasting, except spouse obviously or those sympathetic...WAY too many nay sayers out there who don't really know anything about it.
3. Write down all the reasons WHY you are fasting and read them at least once a day, especially in the morning.
4. Read stuff on this forum as much as you can...program you mind...fasting is mostly mental, IMHO...
5. DON"T read how to break your fast, until you are actually ready to break it...this one's a BIGGY.
6. TRY not to think what all you're going to eat, once your fast is over.
(BTW, these are ALL mistakes i've done)
7. Of course, HIDE ALL FOOD, except what you're
juicing and never peak at it to see if it's still there. (i did this one, yes, it was still there, and i ate it that night)
8. When you are about to definately EAT something and forget the fast...immediately drink some water, and start
juicing something to drink, even if it's 30 mins after your last juice...AND ask yourself am i a MAN or a mouse, am i a WOMAN or a mouse...AND tell yourself you CAN GO ONE MORE DAY...AND go take a walk...READ your list of why i'm fasting again.
i'm sure many others have other tricks...

attempted 3 week fast, broken after riding around with 2 female cousins, the negative
one and the cheeseburger eating one...broken on the 3rd day.
Starting my 20day-28 day fast, into 2nd day...i think i'll go read my reasons list.
