Re: Day 2, First fast ever for me. And some questions! (Arthritis)
Well, let's see... Seems like you're doing good on water and juices. The senna may not be as dramatic a flush you need in the first few days. Maybe you can double up on it? Perhaps check other methods of flushing like enemas or SWF? I do senna, but only every fourth day, with enemas in between. Those first few days, you really want to get rid of that toxic load or reap the detoxing consequences. Make sure to keep up the water.
Not too sure about the oils. I know people here take them because of medical conditions, but other than that it seems the oil wouldn't allow you to actually slip into ketosis. Ingesting protein requires digestion, which is what you're trying halt.
The fast will do great for your arthritous! My grandmother will fast to cure flare-ups and it really works for her.
Energy is normal and so is feeling cruddy. I think this is how my current fast went. Energy on the first day and then it all hit the fan on the second. :) Then about day 5, energy was back full force and I felt much better. hth :)
