ABSOLUTELY working out is key to keeping your skin and muscle tone, AND to assisting detox! I do a strenuous 40 minute walk up a 10% incline, and sweat like crazy! Then I do a round of weight machines, with a steam bath afterwards, and feel like the Queen of the Universe! I will turn 50 October 2 with a clean, pink colon after 3 years of effort, and look and feel wonderful!
If your intent is to fast, I do not agree with the flax or banana. Both of these will trigger digestive responses, while the purpose of a fast is to remove this constant task from the body to allow it time to cleanse, detox and heal. Juices alone will give you all you need to keep your energy level high. Molasses will give you an extra lift without interfering in the fast, and if you are concerned about protein, you can add spirulina (available at any good health food store). Take five tablets three times daily or one teaspoon liquid or powder three times daily in juice. Total juice intake should be between 3-6 cups--I tend to drink 4. If weight loss is a big concern, less is better, and more vegetables than fruits.
Your daily enema is just the thing. Add the "colon cleansers" with fiber to a good cleansing, rebuilding diet after your fast!
