Re: Liver got hard & stomach bloated during fast. Why?

My wife has never experienced liver hardness or pain in her life before the fast. The day after the fast, her liver slowly went back to normal softness and the ache went away by the second day. We feel strongly that the fast triggered this, but other than alcohol poisoning, I do not see any mention of sudden liver hardening anywhere. It also made sense to stop, because we're not going to mess with the liver if we can't find similar experiences.

We have tried bowel cleansing for a few months. P&B shakes made her more constipated (less than 1bm/day) and even more bloated. Colonix didn't work either - the laxative (senna) tea only worked the first few days, and their bulk fiber mixture contains psyllium, and had the same effect as P&B shakes. Shultz's Intestinal Forumlas are essentially similar. I also had her replace the psyllium with freshly ground flax seeds for a "Flax & bentonite" shake, and it really didn't help, just made her even more thirsty. She already takes 3/4 of her wieght in oz of water, and 1tsp of flax seed with her meals.

We are looking into salt water flushes, and the Master Cleanse. However I am worried about the liver hardness coming up again. I need to find similar experiences before I can judge. We are also looking into magnesium peroxide ( Oxypowder or similar), however it has a high oxidative stress on the digestive system, so we need to be careful.
