Re: repressed emotions=acne!

Agree too. I find laughter helps, and just acting like a little kid no matter what anyone else thinks. Laugh at something stupid, tell yourself jokes, and don't take life too seriously. Tell yourself you love and approve of yourself, that you are loving and loveable, you are WILLING to forgive those who hurt you in the past, that you are taking the steps toward moving on toward a glorious future, that you are safe, and that all is well in your world. Those positive affirmations said as many times as possible throughout the day really help.

Also, like you said, play the role of a loving parent to your inner child, and let your inner child play. Get a colouring book, skip rope, bounce a ball, go bike-riding or rollerblading, buy a doll. Do things you loved as a child and enjoy them again. It helps to heal those childhood wounds, because this time YOUR the parent, and you know how to nuture yourself properly. Also, be kind and patient with yourself, and congratulate yourself for every small progress you make.
