Here is what is helping me...

Hi! I don't know very much about the Maker's Diet but I have recently been trying a raw food diet for my Acne and it really seems to be helping. I had a bad breakout last weekend and that's when I decided that I needed to really commit myself to make a conscientious effort to clear up my skin.

I think that it's been a combination of the raw diet in addition to a couple of other cleansing methods that has really helped to clear me up.

All this week I have been eating nothing but lots of fruits and veggies--mostly salads with spinach and tomatoes, lots of apples, water with lemon sqeezed in, a few dates when I get a craving for sweets, and a glass of fresh carrot juice per day. On top of that I've been having about 2 cups of dandelion/burdock/nettle/taheebo tea per day.
By yesterday (after 5 days of this) my skin is already really soft and glowy! The breakout I had (which included a number of painful cysts) has already cleared up almost completely. I'm really happy with this! I'd like to continue with the raw diet and see if I can put a stop to my Acne for good. I've noticed that the oiliness from my skin has also reduced significantly.
There are a couple websites that I gathered information from in this process:

(This links to a number of articles by Rudy Silva on how to clear up Acne naturallY)

I've also been gathering information on the raw food diet and here are a couple of websites that I've found that have good information.
The recipes on these sites look really yummy and I can't wait to try them out!

So the other things I have been doing to help along the healing process are:

1)to get my breakout to heal more quickly it really helped to put hot compresses (I used a teabag soaked in hot water) on the cysts to help them 'come to a head.'

2) Using a mild face scrub of baking soda and diluted vinegar solution applied in my face each night.

3) Using a face masque made from egg whites and lemon juice to help heal the red marks left from acne. (Some people have had a lot of success with this..I'm seeing an improvement in my skin too!)

Here's where I got the original info on the egg white masque and the vinegar and baking soda routine:

4) For the past about 4 days I've been doing one coffee enema each evening. These really seemed to kick-start the healing process..my skin started looking better even after just one.

5) Started taking a green supplement everyday (greens+)

6) Nutritional yeast flakes (about a TBSP a day) for the B-vitamins

7) I just started taking 1000 mg MSM, 500 mg l'cysteine and 500 mg Vit C.

I think that's it! I don't know if it was the combination of all these things that really helped or if it was one thing in particular...all I know is that my skin is looking really nice now.

Just thought I would share my experience in the hopes that it can help someone else. I know how awful it is to suffer from acne, I developed it at around 11-12 years old and I'm still struggling to find the answers even now at 25.
I know that it's still early to tell if this will be a long-term solution for me..I'll post again to update if this continues to work.
