Re: oily skin and Leo Kiesen's "Your last acne solution"
I have a tendency towards oily skin, mainly around my period, BUT I don't break out like crazy. I might get a few tiny whiteheads if I go hogwild on white flour, dairy, and sugar, but that's it. I can handle that.
The case with me is that I don't get breakouts or oily skin, even if I eat "bad" foods from time to time. The connection is with the liver and bowel, and keeping them clean.
It didn't take me long once I figured out what to do. I started flushing my liver back in October; on my 8th flush in March, and after my second colonic, my skin just became very NORMAL. I flushed every 2-3 weeks. On my 8th flush, I removed 1 intrahepatic stone the size of whole walnut shells a 2 more ALMOST that size; about 300 stones in total, and most were chickpea size.
I have taken EFA's for about 12 years now, but that never seemed to help that much. If you have a very congested bowel and liver, the supplements you take don't get distributed well through the body at all. I take UDO's oil and coconut oil every single day, and have for many years. I totally believe in them, the problem though, is that flax and evening primrose oil are both estrogenic, and MIGHT cause people with acne, more problems. Everyone is different, but the thing about
Acne is that it isn't one size fits all, but I do believe that supplementing with EFA's is important.
I mainly eat very, very, well with junk sometimes. I eat lots of fruit smoothies with efa's added, along with protein. I try to juice every single day. I eat lean proteins like chicken and fish. I try to eat Ezekiel bread, but if I eat out, I scarf down white bread. I try to eat a lot of raw foods as well. I just try to eat balanced and healthy. One thing I don't have in my diet at all is dairy, unless it's once in a while. We don't drink milk at all, but we drink almond milk, and have always. My son is 11 and has NEVER been on cow's milk. His dentist says his jaw and tooth development are 6-12 months AHEAD of schedule; so this is a myth that you need cow's milk for proper bone and tooth development. My son has ALWAYS, since he was 1, been on fish oil and calcium. So I definately understand the need for efa supplementation.
One thing too, to remember, is that if you have been on
Antibiotics EVER (for
Acne or ear infections), even if you were a small child, then you should DEFINATELY supplement with Primal Defense by Garden of Life. No other probiotic can touch the stuff. This will help
Acne tremendously. I give a testimony about it on the
Bowel Cleanse board about my son and acne, you should check it out.
