Black walnut tincture is not necessary for flushing. The reason for it is to kill liver parasites if you think that you may have any. If you flush when you have liver parasites you get very nauseated because the little critters will protest bitterly; they will cling to the walls of the bile ducts for dear life. :-)

parasite cleansing is always a very good idea.
