I once have been through a similar experience and I made the terrible mistake tp convince myself that this behavior is normal. it is not. It may be common, and many other women may tolerate it, but I strongly suggest you not to do so. My guess is that you would be much better in a respectful relationship...

IMO you need to break with this guy. When you are in love with s.o., you're supposed to be 100% true with your loved one, and not to have secrets with s.o. else . No friends should get closer. The kind of men who despise women and like to be "just guys" have latent homosexuality and cannot build any normal relationship.

Tell him that he can be "just guys" 24\7 from now on!

I apologize for being so rude but tolerance on these matters has ruined my life and almost drove me crazy a few years ago, please don't forget that he could actually have sex with other women without you knowing and infect you with some STD, JUST LIKE it has happened to me!
I loved that guy, I was forgiving...and he was mentally ill... and a liar, too.
By the end of our relationship I found out he had been with prostitutes DOZENS of times...plus many other things I don't even mention. And today, 6 years later, I am still paying the consequences of my kind, loving, totally ingenuous behaviour.
