Re: cheaters

If you stay with a cheater you better be prepared to have the incident(s) return to your thoughts for the rest of your life. Over 25 years ago my wife decided she did not love me and began cheating. When I found out about it and carried her to her mom I was relieved because my physical health had deteriorated. I had lost 55 pounds and could not sleep due to the treatment I was receiving. The next day she called and said she wanted to come home. I was never given a reason for her action, only that she really did love me. After a few days things began to deteriorate again, not to the level of before, but not real affection. We had a child which was her excuse to have no real intimacy. Today she has no respect for me although she is a good housekeeper and cook. However, that is about all there is. I have thought so many times how we would have been better off if I had refused to get back with her; but I thought she might have been sorry for her actions at the time. Every time she smarts off, which is constant, or when she refuses to show any intimacy, I can't help but think of the past and how I was treated then.
