Conversations get more and more intimate...first they talk about their BF's or GF's (usually complaining), then they start talking about feelings...then they start talking about intimacy....that's when the S can happen.
Not always, but many times it does.

My opinion in this matter is simple: anyone can have friends of the opposite sex, but the best thing you can do as a GF or as a BF is to meet and KNOW and socialize with your partners opposite sex friends.
It doesn't hurt to be preventive...unless you don't really care for him/her.

By nature, few people are 100% faithful. We are all can be unfaithful when the opportunity and the need are there. It's biological.
I am 43, so I don't have the illusions that I had at 20...
