It sounds to me like pretty straight-forward Insecurity. Looking for LOVE outside yourself because you do not LOVE yourself. See what I mean? It doesn't really matter why this happened. Whatever in your life (your dad, your mom, your earliest crush..whatever) happened - just let go of any 'reason'. It doesn't matter. Work on accepting your self FULLY!

The SOURCE of Love is within your Self. Once you tap into that then the giving and receiving of love will just flow naturally.

You won't simply like people because they like you!

You'll like people because YOU LIKE THEM.

When you meet someone, stand back a bit and think: Do *I* like you??? Give your self some credit.
