What is the temperature that they heat their coconut oil at? I wonder why they didn't bother to write it on THEIR website. What is the need to ferment the coconuts, when oil can be extracted within couple of hours of harvesting? I wont even bother writing to them as I donot like getting a web link in response to read.

Here is the reply I received from Nutiva...

Nutiva's raw extra-virgin coconut oil is processed at under 104 degree's. We also press the oil it within 2 hours of chopping the coconut, vs 5-10 days for most refined coconut oils, and perhaps 10 hours + for Tropical Traditions.
This is one reason why Nutiva extra-virgin coconut oil has a very light pleasant aroma and taste. We operate with very low overhead and move large volumes and thus have the lowest priced organic extra-virgin coconut oil on the market. 15 oz is $13.99 and 29 oz is $17.99.

These are MSRPs, you can find lower prices offered through web vendors, I dont know about retail stores.

This is a discussion group and we are looking for better options to better our health. You seem to have taken it personally, like you have some vested interest in TT.
