Re: curious about "bible diet"
Christopher was a Mormon. In the Mormon scripture, The Doctrine & Covenants, there is a section, #89, that is commonly called, "The Word of Widsom." Christopher wrote a booklet titled, "Just What Is the Word of Wisdom." In the booklet, he reviews the Word of Wisdom and brings in biblical references as well. Although there is more to it that this, he takes a view that is not actually practiced by most Mormons, regarding meat. The Word of Wisdom says to eat meat sparingly if at all. It says that winter time is the only time that meat should be eaten at all unless you are without other food. Christopher takes the view that meat shouldn't be eaten at all unless you are starving. Most Mormons eat moderate amounts of meat. There are "carnivores" amongst them, but that is a rarity. There is much more to the Word of Wisdom, including eating fruits, vegetables, herbs, and whole grains. It talks about eating foods in season. It talks about abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, and "hot drinks" (interpreted to mean coffee and tea). Christopher's foundational view came from the Word of Wisdom, but his view is substantiated by biblical references, including Daniel's refusing the King's (Darius? Cyrus?) meat and wine and eating grains, pulses, etc. If I recall correctly he also refers to the notion that the word "meat" is translated incorrectly.
I hope that helps a little with Christopher's perspective. I've attached a link to Section 89 of the Doctrine & Covenants if you are curious as to exactly what it says.
The Bible diet to which I have heard reference is the "Halleluiah Acres" or the "Genesis 1:29" diet. Here is Genesis 1:29 for reference.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
I don't know much about this diet.
