There is a reference to this issue in The Amazing Liver Cleanse where the spleen and lymphatic system are discussed. There is a vein that leads from the spleen to the liver. If the liver is unable to cleanse the blood properly due to bile duct congestion, there is a buildup of fluid and waste in the spleen. You will find the points in the lower legs, along the spleen meridian, tender to the touch. The spleen and pancreas are also connected by a major artery, which makes them practically one organ with two parts. The liver strongly influences the pancreas as explained in the book.
