I've wondered about Emergen-C's use of aspartate too, but I've had to use this product anyway because it seems to help limit my allergic reactions to foods, and frankly I can't find anything else that does this. Now that I think about it, it might be worth asking this of the owner of the company, as he seems proud of producing a healthy and even detoxifying product.
