Paulette, mine stayed black for over 20 days of almost daily use then has lightened up to lt-med olive green in sporadic use over the next couple of months. I used them everyday for 2-3 days every few weeks now.
To give you an idea, I purchased 10 boxes and have used 8 so far in the last 6 months.
