Shanti, if your uterus is removed it will not throw you into premature menopause. That will only happen if your ovaries are removed also. I felt so much better after my hyeterectomy because I was not hemmorhaging every month. I was very anemic because of that, and now my blood counts are normal again. I would get a second opinion.
