I am recently married, and am absolutely IN LOVE with cooking and baking. My husband was born and raised in Louisiana, and loves red beans and rice. I, on the other hand, was mostly raised in the California big cities, and have no idea how to cook louisiana food. I got this collection of quick recipes submitted by the cafeteria workers of the parish that my father works for *fund raiser*... and it has one for red beans a rice. It is pretty clear up until it says to make the roux... and it doesn't say how to make it, or what is needed to make it.
can anyone explain to me how to make it so that I can cook this dish and hopefully bring a piece of home to my husband?
