Pumpkin seed is available both shelled and not shelled but when it ain't it turns rancid very quickly. don't know if getting rancid affects their efficacy. I know for sure that what makes them useful against worms is the oily content, not the shell...maybe the shell, being very tough and fibrous could help "cleaning" bowels too. But if you don't shell it you must chew them well, not just swallow the whole, to get the oily stuff
Rosted and salted pumpkin seed is also available, but maybe it should be RAW to work...? not so obvious if heat or salt should or not not spoil their usefulness . I don't know if they are poisonous to parasites, I think it is a mechanical action, just making the bowel slippery. To get raw ones you can buy a whole pumpkin
- it's the right season to.
