Re: What type of Vitamin C?

Hello,

Just want to inform that the best form of vit c for injecting is actually "sodium ascorbate". This is the form that has mainly always been used, and is sold over the counter here in Italy by roche labs in 500mg and 100mg injectable forms. I purchase lots of it while in Italy to bring back to the states.

"ascorbate acid" in powder or pill form, is the best to take orally, especially if you are sick, as it is the strongest. If your stomach is sensitive to could take a buffered form...but not as strong and is more expensive. You can buffer ascorbate acid powder yourself with baking soda..I belive 1 part bsoda to 4 parts ascorbate acid powder. If you do a search on the internet for cheapest ascorbate acid powder..you will find you can purchase it in bulk by the pound at some companies. I believe pure ascorbate acid is just that so the brand does not matter. Normally a teaspoon has 4 grams or so.

Hope this helps...you can also visit the doctoryourself.com and get a free newsletter with tons of vit c info...plus look through the archives.
