The Protein factor

Check out my posts - the one you read about the protein was probably mine.

I was putting in 1 scoop of Jarrow's untreated whey protein (not mucus forming) per 6 glasses of lemonade. I suggest a blender because otherwise the protein sits on the top in yellow globs that look like chicken fat, and it doesn't look very appealing!

But I decided not to work out on this thing because I wanted to let my body focus on the tasks I've asked it to do. It's stressed enough in terms of the detox; the gym adds further stress to it.

I was using the protein to eliminate hypoglycemia setting in, so I used a fairly small amount. To keep within a purer aspect of the diet, I switched from the whey to spirulina flakes a few days ago, but. that green color made the drink pretty gross looking (especially when I was still using some molasses!)

I have no idea if it impacted the overall cleansing process or not. While I'm doing the drink pure now - no protein, no molasses - I'm still somewhat concerned with the possibility of musclemass, because there isn't fat to feed on around the muscle.

MUSCLEMASS: I did take measurements at the beginning of this - including thigh, calf, biscep, and mid lat. But aside from that - on the subject of working out - you ARE fasting. I highly advise against a full work out. As a fellow gym rat (on and off for 20 years) who knows the habits of gym rats well - sometimes we freak if we miss a DAY of working out. Make sure you respect your body by tailoring the work out to its capability, and listening to what it's telling you.

CAYENNE: It's easier if you work up to a higher dose on the cayenne. Add a little more each drink - and eventually just take it in gel capsules to avoid it burning your lips.
