VERY!
Trippy! And thanks for sharing that! (I was like - right back on the dance floor with the music throbbing when I read that!) I remember those wild party days....saw the sun come up quite a few mornings myself. So I'm curious (not for a return dissertation, but just cause I'm interested in your full experience), what was the whole memory of that memory like for you? I mean, what feelings, images, and emotions passed at the same time as the taste, etc?
Those time warps are learning experiences, but they can be hell to relive when they haven't been fully processed. From time to time (before I knew anything about this fasting thing), I'd notice I'd be in some situation, or someone would say something to me that would instantly flash me back to something negative or remind me of something I wanted to forget. I'd twist off so often in those situations I decided to train myself to be aware and mindfulof my bodily reactions - in order to avoid an extreme and sudden REaction to a MEMORY of something, rather than what was actually taking place.
Hearkening back to your party 80s memory - I saw quite a few sunrises myself later in that decade. And it was YEARS before I could even
wake up at 5 to go to the bathroom and hear the birds without my skin crawling, much less stay up late innocently talking or whatever without HAVING TO BE ASLEEP from that first light of dawn well into morning having arrived!
These days I love that time of the morning - and when I'm in it - I breathe and smile for the serenity it brings me. And both smile and serenity are for the appreciation of the morning AND the thankful memory that - while those times are part of who I am and I wouldn't trade them - thank heaven a PAST part and a PROCESSED part! LOL!
Resonate with you at all (grin)?
