A Liver Flush is a great way to end MC. I've just completed 11 days of straight Master Cleanse, did one day of the lemonade plus diluted apple juice, and did the cleanse last night. I am a veteran liver flusher, but the results this time were amazing. The link to the post is found under the title "To My Fasting Friends".
As for the length of your fast, I would suggest setting a goal for eight days, then go up to ten days if both of you feel you can. Prayers and best wishes to both of you.
